• “Posed”– Original 2004 This piece was designed to depict the male Ruffed Grouse “posed” in all his glory. The male was a beautiful mature specimen that I took this season with my faithful-hunting dog, Gunnar. The bird is mounted atop a piece of wood that came from the woods in which it was taken along with natural habitat. The base is framed with real barn wood giving it more of outdoor feel to it. I donated this piece to the 2004 Upper Peninsula Ruffed Grouse Society banquet since last years Grouse mount was such a smash hit, it was placed in the live auction where it was sold.
