• “Strutting”– Original 2003

This piece was designed to depict the male Ruffed Grouse “strutting his stuff” in its natural habitat. The male was a beautiful mature specimen that I took on the last day of the season. The bird is mounted atop a piece of wood that came from the woods in which it was taken along with natural habitat. The base is framed with real barn wood giving it more of outdoor feel to it. I donated this piece to the 2003 Upper Peninsula Ruffed Grouse Society banquet in which it was placed in the live auction selling for $350.00.
